Dear Secretary of the Senedd Culture Committee
I am writing to you to request that a matter be raised for discussion at the next meeting of the Committee. This concerns the proposal by the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama to close its youth programme (Young RWCMD).
This initiative comes from two current Young RWCMD students: Erin Thomas and David Ingham (both cc’ed). They have prepared a statement in support which is attached.
I would be grateful if you were able to acknowledge receipt and give an indication of when this will be considered, also whether we can provide further information.
The proposal is to close Young RWCMD with effect from this September. So consideration ahead of that, time allowing, would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your help with this.
